It's almost a reset on design and status quo. That time jump gives you the opportunity to redesign everybody. I think that time-skip lets us do some really interesting stuff that hopefully fans will dig as they start to get into Season 4, and I'm super interested for people to see it. It's super fun to introduce the characters in a different way - they're older, they've got different struggles now, and they're the same characters that they were in Season 3. I think people will hopefully be surprised when they find out the whole story that's been going on there. He's so intricately woven into the fabric of what Xadia is. All will eventually be revealed, and he's just a fascinating character.

Justin Richmond: It's awesome! When we started tackling Season 4 and beyond, we knew that Aaravos was going to be a big piece of it, unraveling what was happening there and what his plan is. How was it turning over some of these cards this season? We finally see the grand deceiver who has quietly been shaping the history of Xadia, with the fate of the continent hanging in the balance. CBR: With Season 4, it feels like everything leading up to this was subtext.
